The cycles are a little confusing. The limit per cycle is $1000. 1/1/2026 to 8/2/2026 (primary). 8/4/2026 to 12/31/2026 (general). This is per person per cycle. Occupation/ Industry is required under state law for donations in excess of $150.

Yes. I was appointed by Secretary of Transportation Deb Miller and approved by Governor Sebelius to serve as the Director of Aviation for the State of Kansas. I served on the KDOT Executive Staff with Julie Lorenz. We brought home a number of national awards including the coveted American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Presidents Award. I helped with the Governor's Task Force on Wind Energy. I continued with KDOT through the Parkinson Administration and part of the Brownback Administration.
I attended a law enforcement academy in Missouri granting full-time certification. I also attended "SWAT" school at Fort Leonard Woods. I served as a professional standards (internal affairs) investigator for a small Kansas department. I attended training and specific courses to plan for school violence intervention and response. I taught for the Missouri Sheriffs Training Academy and the Missouri Deputy Sheriffs Association. I've taught courses involving drug intervention at airports for the Johnson County Sheriffs Department.
While in local and state government, I served as a primary contact for economic development initiatives. I continue to be involved with economic development as an attorney. I was the principal investigator for the Nebraska Aviation Economic Impact Study. I also worked on other economic impact programs and policies. My position on economic development is that it must be balanced to the needs and resources of the community.
I served as a Government Finance Officers Association Outstanding budget reviewer for several years. I was the chief financial officer for two cities and a county. One of the cities received a GFOA reporting award for several years in a row during my tenure. I taught Finance for Managers and Finance I (in the MBA program) at Webster University at Fort Leavenworth, a program presented with the Command and General Staff College.
I am the Chair of the Kansas Commission on Aerospace Education, an organization that provides funds for STEM entities around the state and hosts STEM events in local communities. For several years, I provided free flight instruction for members of the military and law enforcement. In the past, I coached soccer and softball - sports that my children did not participate in. I regularly serve as a course monitor for Kansas City area sporting events.
